A Saved Search allows you to setup HomeQuest to email a contact when a home matching specific criteria enters the market. You can be very broad with these searches, by only entering a search for something like a 3 bedroom house with a 2 car garage. You could also be quite specific with a search as well, like say a house with over half an acre of land and a 4 car garage and central air. Yep, you can do that. The important thing to know is that a Saved Search will only email out when it finds a home that matches the search that has not already been sent to this person. A broad search will send more frequently, a very narrow specific search may have longer periods of time between emails. This is completely normal.
Creating a Saved Search for a contact:
Step 1: From a contacts page, scroll down to the “Saved Search” area and click “Add New”
Step 2: Enter a name for the search in the upper left, and make sure to click “Auto-Send New Matches” (Note: Auto-Send New Matches means that the search is active and sending to the client. If a Saved Search does not have this checked, it is not active and is not emailing the client.) Only the name of the search and an area/zip code/neighborhood selection is required for a Saved Search, though there are many criteria choices to narrow your search results. Make sure to click the “Save” button at the top when you are finished.
Step 3: Your contact now has a Saved Search listed. You can click the “Edit” link to change the search, or just click on the name of the search to view homes that match this criteria set.
Saved Searches can utilize the following criteria to create a custom search:
- Residential or Land
- Price range
- Zip Code, Area, or Neighborhood
- Public and Agent Remarks
- Number of Bedrooms and Bathrooms
- Square Footage range
- Year Built
- Attached or Detached
- Attached or Detached Garage
- Parking Spaces
- HOA Fees
- Lot Size and Acreage
- Levels
- Schools (Elementary, Middle, and High)
- Accessibility
- Style
- Fuel and Heating Type
- Basement
- Green Certifications
