When a client signs up on your website, they are automatically entered into your HomeQuest account as a “Web Prospect”. A Web Prospect is a restricted user in the system that can only view 25 listings a day. A Web Prospect that is receiving the Daily Email will also receive an expiration notice every two weeks that reminds them to click a renewal link or the listings will stop coming. The Web Prospect status is a way to lightly restrict new leads in the system, so that when they hit their maximum listing views they will want to call you or email you to get that restriction removed. There, HomeQuest just helped you change a random website visitor into a potential client that you have had a conversation with. The restrictions were put in place to give your clients a compelling reason to start communication with you.

You can change a Web Prospect to a different status to remove the restrictions. It does not matter which status you choose, as “Web Prospect” is the only status with restrictions. Follow the instructions below to change a “Web Prospect” into a Buyer.

Step 1: Open the clients Contact record by clicking on their name in your Contact List

Step 2: Click on the small circular + (plus) sign next to “Contact Info” to expand the list. From the area that appears, click on the drop down menu labeled “Client Status”. You can change the status to anything other than “Web Prospect” to remove the restrictions. There are no differences between the other statuses, it is for your own organization.
